I am trying to insert a picture in to a column of a newsletter template but
to no avail. Does anyone know how to go about doing that? Thank you.

If the picture is single-column-width, your best bet is to insert it In Line
With Text (and this will be your only option if the "columns" are created
with text boxes). If the picture needs to span columns, you'll need to apply
Square text wrapping.
