Hyperlinking
I have a word (2003) that will include a number of excel (2003) spreadsheets.
The most common solutions each have sufficient drawbacks to seek another solution. I write to inquire how one can create a hyperlink in the word document to an excel file without the excel file appearing as an attachment? I understand that XML might offer a solution but I am not familiar with it. Advice sought |

You can copy/paste as link any number of Excel table into word (number limited by RAM though). This implies that any change made to the Excel table will be reflected in the Word document. Keep in mind that for this solution the Excel file needs to be kept in the same folder (otherwise you need to redefine the link, or save the file to a new folder with the word file open). 2. With CTRL+K you can create a link to an existing file. You can control both the name of the link (e.g., "MyXLS") and the address to jump to. It can be weblink as well. HTH, Henk -- Henk57 |
