I've created a Microsoft Address Word Address List via the Word 2003
MailMerge/Label function. I tried to open the Address List independent of Word, but was unsuccessful. I do not have Access on that PC. Is there a way to simply open and edit the Adress Lst, independently, without havong to go theough Word? |

Use the address list as the data source for a Directory type mail merge in
the main document of which, you have a single row table with as many cells as there are fields in the data source. When you execute that merge to a new document, that document will have a row of data for each record in the data source. Insert a row at the top of the table and into the cells in that row, enter the names of the merge fields. Then save that document and use it as your data source, editing it as required. -- Hope this helps. But I don't think you will be able to edit it /and/ save it as an OAL again.
But you should be able to save it as a .xls and use that thereafter. -- Peter Jamieson http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk "Peter Jamieson" wrote in message ...
