My Word document is in Landscape for display purposes. But I would like to
print two Landscape pages on one piece of paper, one page on top of the
other, making the print as large as possible. Under the Print dialog if I
select 2 pages per sheet, it prints Landscape one page besides the other on
one sheet. If I select 4 pages per sheet, it almost does what I want, but
the print is too small to read. Is there a way to print Landscape page 1 at
the top of a Portrait sheet and Landscape page 2 at the bottom of that same
Portrait sheet?

I have never been able to get this result through Word, so will be interested
if anyone else comes up with a solution. I do however I get this result
through PDFing and printing multipages through Acrobat.

Is there a way to pull my MS Word document into Acrobat without losing any
of the formatting, then print two Landscapes per 1 Portrait sheet?

You can output your ladscape document to PDF, then Acrobat will allow you to
print multiple pages per sheet in any layout you select - certainly two
pages can be printed one above the other on a portrait page.

If you use the "2 pages per sheet" option in the Page Setup dialog instead
of print and choose Portrait orientation, you will get the layout you want,
but you will have to redo your document to fit that size. You can either
create it once on the first "page" and copy/paste it on the second or create
it once and print pages 1,1.

purposes. I cannot change the formatting. In Print dialog, if I choose 4
pages per sheet, it places the Landscape pages 4 to a sheet and prints
Portrait. I want that, but only 2 per sheet, page 1 at the top and page 2 at
the bottom.

Your document will still be landscape; it will just be smaller. Have you
tried this?

Thanks for your help. I have tried doing "2 pages per sheet" and changing
to Portrait orientation, but I can't figure out what you mean by the rest of
your instructions. If I do those first two things, since the margins are now
much smaller (left to right), my first page spills over onto page 2, etc..
This is what I do not wan to happen since I use the document for a
presentation like most people use Power Point.

As I pointed out, you will have to resize the page to fit into half a page,
but you will be able to print two landscape pages on a single portrait
sheet, and that seems to be the only way to accomplish what you want (unless
your printer Properties offer an N-up option).

To clarify further, on the Margins tab of Page Setup, you choose "2 pages
per sheet" under "Multiple pages," setting the page orientation to Portrait.
The preview shows you that you will get two portrait pages. You'll want to
reduce the margins to half what they are for the full-sized sheet, and then
you'll also need to reduce everything else on the page accordingly. I
realize that this may not be practical, but it's the only way I know of to
accomplish what you want using Word's built-in features, provided you want
the page to remain editable.

Another possibility, if you don't need the page to be editable, is to select
all the content on the page (assuming it doesn't include a header or footer)
and copy, then Paste Special as Picture and resize the picture to fit into
half the page. There may be some distortion, especially of the text.
