Help. I know there must be a quick way to do this. I have created an index
at the end of a large Word 2003 document. I am trying to find out out those index enteries can be bookmarked or quickly linked to the item in the document that they list the page numbers for. -- Thanks - K |

If you use the Word feature "insert index", it does all the linking for you.

I used insert index but it only lists the items that I marked to be included
with the index and their page numbers. I am looking for a way to link to those items in the document since my company works in a paperless environment as much as possible. I have since found naother post that describes the problem that I am having and other posts there indicated that it is not possible in Word 2003. Thanks for your suggestion though. -- Thanks - K "Kim K" wrote: If you use the Word feature "insert index", it does all the linking for you. "Kristen" wrote: Help. I think you're right. I found a workaround that might work for you:

Thanks for the link. This is the long and slow process that I am working on.
I just hope there are no more edits for the page numbers to change. I fear if I take out the page numbers in the hyper link on the Index pages, some of the paper holdouts will get upset. I just find it hard to believe that Word does not have this functionality. They have it in the Table of Contents! -- Thanks - K "Kim K" wrote: I think you're right.
