Default Borders??

Hello,

I'm using Word 2002 and trying to figure out what the "elbows" are on each
four corners of the page that are shaped like "L". What are they and what is
it used for?

Thank you.

What you are seeing are called "Printer's Marks" which are of use primarily
for commercial print jobs (when printing on oversized stock which will be
trimmed to size after printing, for example). To turn them off go to
ToolsOptionsView & clear the check for Text Boundaries.

They actually aren't real crop marks, as they *don't* indicate the size of
the finished document but rather the margin boundaries. They are displayed
in conjunction with Asian languages that are entered in a grid. See “Margin
marks or crop marks appear on each corner of the page when you open a
document in Word 2002 or in Word 2003” at
