Default Is it bug in Word 2007's spell check

I have Word 2007's spell check problem in several DOCs. For example, a Doc
exists a wrong word "remernation", I open it and select "Check Document" in
Proofing option, there isn't any wrong mark appear to "remernation", but at
the same time, there are several mark appear to other wrong words. So i think
maybe "remernation" is in Word's dictionary, but when I type "remernation" at
the end the Doc, the mark appear to the new typing "remernation", it means
that this word is not in the dictionary but Word 2007 cannot aware of its
existance. The several others DOCs (these files are created by Word 2003 from
other people) have similar conditon. Do anyone can tell me what happen?
Thanks.

Proofing is a text formatting parameter. The fact that this word is flagged
when you enter it at the end of the document (but not I suspect of you copy
and paste it there), suggests that the spell check is working correctly.

If the word is marked as no proofing, it will not be checked. Select all the
text then from the language dialog (click the language button on the status
bar) apply your language of choice and uncheck 'do not check spelling'.

Possibly the style for those paragraphs/words probably has the Do Not Check
Spelling attribute turned on.
In Word 2007, Review tab, Proofing group, Thesaurus, Set Language, make sure
that English (US) is selected and that the two check boxes at the bottom are
UNCHECKED: then press Default. Close Word and make sure to answer YES to save
changes to the global template.
Spell check is a formatting attribute of the text. If you copy formatted
text from another document then the formatting will come with it and if that
include the no proofing option, then that's what you get. You need to either
re-apply the proofing parameter (as described above) or use Paste Special
Unformatted Text so that the formatting of the destination is adopted.
Also see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/MasterSpellCheck.htm.
Hope this helps
