Default Styles and language

in word upto 2003, the language used to be part of a style. In word 2007 it
seems as if that is not the case anymo the dialog box only presents me
with the option of setting the language for "selected text", and the verbal
description of the style does not mention a language. Am I missing something,
or has the "style" concept indeed changed in word 2007?
