Default How do you put cubed or squared after a number

in google docs, click format, superscript, and then type the number where you want.

But this newsgroup isn't about "google docs," whatever that is, but
about MSWord.

This worked for me in both MS Word (2010 for Windows) and Google Docs:

five cubed: type 5 then [hold ALT and type 0179]
four squared: type 4 then [hold ALT and type 0178]
