Default Displaying codes to correct something that should not be in text

Been working all night on a very impotant document. I cannot remember the
term to display the codes such as bold, underline etc. I have a dashed
underlines that i need to get rid of.

Default Displaying codes to correct something that should not be in text

Maybe you've been working too hard. It's WordPerfect that uses 'Display
Codes' -- Word doesn't do it that way. Dashed underline means that Word
thinks there's a spelling or grammar mistake. You can right-click to see
what it is and correct or ignore as you wish; but it doesn't print anyway.
Or go to Tools Options to switch off the display of spelling and grammar.

You can use Shift + F1 and Word will show you all of your formatting. I hope
that is helpful to you. A dashed line could also signify some hidden text.
