There is no such thing as predictive text in Word, though you can assign
commonly used words to shortcuts in the form of autocorrect entries. Type in your word eg Shakespeare then select it and then tools autocorrect options. Type a shortcut - preferably one that is unlikely to conflict with required text eg #sh and use #sh to enter the word in full. You can even apply formatting and add graphics etc using this method. If you want something more sophisticated that will work in all applications, consider GhostTyper # http://www.ghosttyper.com/ -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org frey wrote: how do i get predictive text in microsoft word? so that if i enter 'shak' and then press enter, i get the word 'shakespeare'? so that you dont have to keep entering the long word if you are doing an assignment on it? |

Goto Tools.... Autocorrect
Select Autotext tab and add any extra words you want to this list...
