unable to save as pdf
Hi Maria,
I'm assuming you're using Word 2007? The current download is likely the one for the Office 2007 Gold (RTM) product release and is incompatible if you're using Office 2007 Beta2 or Beta2 with Technical Refresh (B2TR). Trial versions of Office 2007 Gold should be available on the MS website at the start of next month, right after the 'official' launch event by Microsoft. ============== "Maria T" wrote in message ... unable to save as pdf
Hi Bob,
I guess that by now your answer would be different, but strangely enough i have EXACT teh same problem. in my case it is after upgrading an MS Office 2003 Pro to MS Office 2007. With the 2003 version I have a component (maybe by adobe) that allowed a print to adobe PDF format; which is no longer working now NOR the new downloded plug-in, save as PDF/XPS. this returns an Microsoft error "the export failed due to an unexpected error". any ideas? thanks, Elon Cosla the netherlands +31655857735 "Bob Buckland ?:-)" wrote: Hi Maria, I'm assuming you're using Word 2007? Only the latest (version 8.1.2) of Acrobat will work properly with Word 2007
(though you can print to the drivers of the earlier versions). The PDF plug-in is independent from and not reliant on Adobe's product. If you save as PDF and still get the error, try repairing Office. unable to save as pdf
Thanks Graham, I am using Acrobat reader 8.1.2 with its add-ons 9.0.124. I can't print using the acrobat drivers, as I think I have un-install my older version of the PDFmaker - HOWEVER, I won't need it if the office save to PDF will work. I have cleaned all temp directories, repaired the office 2007, tried it also in safe mode (run: winword /safe) but all with no success. Please note that it is ALL the office applications that would fail (Excel/PPT email etc) - but at the same time Office DOES NOT seem to be unstable or crash as in the other cases you've refered me to. Office is stable but this feature is NOT working... your advise will be much appreciated. Hi Elon,
You've posted separately in at least three different discussion groups on this. Please see the replies in the Word Application Errors discussion group ============ "elon" wrote in message ...
