Split Table
I have a table in Word that has split itself. Half the table is on one page,
half is on the next. When I select the table, the whole thing on both pages highlights, but the Split Table option is still black. Any ideas? I have tried going to the end of the first page's table and hitting delete, but that doesn't work either. |

Split Table
From you explanation I assume that you have _one_ table. There could be more
reasons for the table to split on two pages: A: There _is not_ room for the entire table on one page. If this is the case, you will need to edit the text or change the formatting in order to fix this (e.g. change font size, paragraph spacing, column widths). B: There may be room for the entire table on one page but you have Format Paragraph Line and Page Breaks €śKeep with next€ť turned on for all or part of the table. This could force part of the table to move to the next page (this may depend on the settings applied to the text that follows after the table). C. If there is empty space below the part of the table that appears on the first page, the reason is most likely that the table cells (or at least one cell in the first row on the second page) has Table Table Properties Row tab €śAllow row to break across pages€ť _turned off_. (this forces the entire row to move to the next page if there is not room for it). If this is true, you can move part of the row back on the first page by turning €śAllow row to break across pages€ť _on_ (you must first select the cells to which you want to apply that setting). -- Regards Lene Fredborg DocTools €“ Denmark www.thedoctools.com Document automation €“ add-ins, macros and templates for Microsoft Word "Karen" wrote: I have a table in Word that has split itself.
