There is no default shortcut to start Word, but you can assign one.
Right-click the desktop icon for the program and choose Properties,
and fill in the Shortcut Key box in the dialog.
If you don't yet have a desktop icon, go to the folder (a
version-specific folder under C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office) that
contains WinWord.exe; right-click that file and choose Send To
Desktop.

I have a user that complains of a blank Word Doc opening randomly. I
suspect
he may be accidentally keying a shortcut or something because his computer
has been replaced this year and it continues to happen. Does anyone know
what the keyboard shortcut for opening Word is?
Thanks!!
