Since 2007 version of Word mailmerge has become more complicated rather than
less so. this is mainly because of the fields that are automatically given to the address block, which are American. To by pass these can be complicated and requires trial and error. Also if you put in a field at a time then you have to insert and close each time - again time consuming. What I would very much like to see is an alternative to the default American address fields that the user can decide on for themselves. There are more users than American and Microsoft needs to take account of this. -- Mary ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Frankly it is no more difficult than it has ever been, but if the
addressblock field doesn't work for you, don't use it. Insert the address fields directly into your document in whatever format you like. http://www.gmayor.com/merge_labels_with_word_2007.htm Also note the little down arrow at the side of the Insert Merge Field button on the mailings tab, which makes inserting fields easier than the pop-up dialog on the wizard. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org "Smurf" wrote in message ...
