G'day "Pete" ,
Password-protect the documents from changes - but even that can be got around by preexistent users. The best way is to run regular discoveries of workstation files looking for illegal copies. Can this be stopped? No.
You could protect the document for forms with a password and no formfields. This would truly make it read-only. Of course, this is easily defeated as well; just not quite as easily. A tad more secure is saving in pdf format. The only way to truly stop a document from being copied is to not allow it to be seen. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
