I have several hundred (with more coming) word documents that I need to
password protect from users modifying (reading is ok). I know word and excell have the capability of password protecting these files to allow users to view them but not modify them. Is there a way to do this from a command line (so I can write a script to pw protect all these files), or is there a utility out there that will allow me to bulk password protect these files? I realize that cracking these passwords is not hard, and these files are not critical data, we just want to discourage the average user from modifying them. |
