When I first installed Office Enterprise 2007 as I used Word, recent
documents were shown on the Office button page. They are no longer there and I would like to have them shown. Anyone know what I have to do to have them list again? |

You might try OfficeWord OptionsAdvancedDisplay and verify that your
display recent documents is not set to 0. -- Greg Maxey/Word MVP See: http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/word_tips.htm For some helpful tips using Word. Thank you, Greg.
For some reason the "Show this number of Recent Documents" selection is greyed out and will not let me access or change it. Any suggestions? Mike,
A a retired Navy man I don't know if I should continue to try to help you or not. Seems you should be able to grunt it out ;-). That smart remarks said, I don't know much else to offer. Have you by chance used anything like Windows TweakUI to suppress the display of recently used files? The list should be stored in the registry StartRun Type in regedit. Look in HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Office 12.0 Word File MRU -- Greg Maxey/Word MVP See: http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/word_tips.htm For some helpful tips using Word. If you have Windows XP, and if in the Windows XP registry the value of
the NoRecentDocsHistory key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer\ is set to binary 01 00 00 00, then change the value to binary 00 00 00 00. Gee Greg, us Air Wing Marines are helped out by you guys all the time. After
all, how would we get to where we're going without the Navy? Someone recently told me that we are a department of the Navy...the men's department. (VBG) When were you in, Greg? I served from 1955-59 right between Korea and Vietnam. Seriously, thanks for the help...if your latest suggestion doesn't work I'll try MS technical support. Have a Merry Christmas.
