In case of Word 2003 or earlier version:
Select File menu Page Setup Layout tab. Click €¯Line Numbers€¯. In the dialog box that opens, turn on €¯Add line numbering€¯. Set Start at = 1. Set €¯Count by€¯ = 5. Make other selections as desired. Click OK twice. In case of Word 2007: On the Page Layout tab Page Setup group, click Line Numbers and select the botton command. This opens the Page Setup dialog box. See the description above. -- Regards Lene Fredborg - Microsoft MVP (Word) DocTools - Denmark www.thedoctools.com Document automation - add-ins, macros and templates for Microsoft Word "Amir" wrote: I am trying to set up a patent application template.
