Thanks Suzanne, I read through that last night, but I must have missed the relevant part on the /n switch. I have it now! Kathryn On Jan 29, 10:06 pm, "Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "kbutterly" wrote in message ... Good evening all, Using Word 2007. Document has page numbers that include chapters. Chapter has its own page, with just chapter name on it. New section after chapter page, so content of each chapter starts at page 1. The TOC looks like this: Chapter 1..................1-1 Foo........................1-1 Fum.......................1-3 Chapter 2..................2-1 Foo........................2-1 Fum.......................2-2 I don't want the page numbers to appear on the Chapter # lines. I want it to appear as: Chapter 1 Foo........................1-1 Fum.......................1-3 Chapter 2 Foo........................2-1 Fum.......................2-2 I think this is (easily) doable in Word, but I'm drawing a blank. Thanks for any ideas, references, resources, or good clean jokes, Kathryn- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - |
