When opening Word we were getting a message about a macro not running. Then when I tried to exit I would get a message about normal.dot being changed. Now I am not getting the macro alert but I cannot save any word docs and I was having trouble even closing Word at one point. I have tried to follow the directions I found for the issue of changing normal.dot but the directions did not coincide with what I saw on my screens as I went through. This seems like a complicated issue because I never changed any macro or made any changes to normal.dot and it's hard to backtrack and figure out what happened. I'm hoping someone else has had the same problem in 2007 and can get me through this:--)) Stefan - thanks for the info. I have been attempting to resolve my problems by finding and renaming the normal.dot file and that has turned out to be complicated. Another story.... Anyway, today I was able to do a search for the file but it turned up nothing. Now I thought I had already gone through the process to make it visible but am still not finding it. Any suggestions? |
