Default How can I change footnote numbers for multiple chapters?

Insert | Reference | Footnote. Change the numbering from "Continuous" to
"Restart each section," making sure that "Whole document" is selected for
"Apply to." Then click Apply. Note that you will need to have section breaks
between chapters and none within chapters.
