In Word 2003 or earlier, click on Tools | Options | View tab | uncheck
the "All" and "Spaces" boxes | OK. See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Format...PrintChars.htm for more information. ctstevens wrote: Every time I use the spacebar, I show dots on my screen...they don't print, but I don't want them. How do I turn this off? |

![]() I suspect you have the Show/Hide button ON. This displays non-printable characters. The dots will not print so don't worry. Frankly, I recommend the Show/Hide button (it's that "pi" pictogram on the toolbar) ON, as you see better what y 'r doing, but indeed many people find them disturbing. If you insist, just toggle the Show/Hide button. HTH, Henk ctstevens;2347175 Wrote: Every time I use the spacebar, I show dots on my screen...they don't print, but I don't want them.
