Having read all the other threads relating to this message mysteriously
appearing on exiting Word and the suggestion that the cause is Norton related: I have unchecked the box next to "Turn on Scanning for Microsoft Office Documents" under Advanced Option - Miscellaneous on my NIS 2007. I would, therefore, expect this feature to be switched off. When I open an existing Word document the message 'Requesting virus scan' still appears briefly along the bottom of the MSWord window. If I open Word, displaying Document 1, and shut it again without doing anything it still wants to save my global template, Normal. I am using Word 2002 and am not running any other Word Add ins. (I have checked using the various advice in other threads.) Again following advice found in other threads I have tried to deregister officeav.dll but get an error message 0x8002801c. I have raised the issue with Symantec but they're currently saying that it's a Word problem and nothing to do with them. Has anyone any other suggestions? Thanks. (I regularly perform a Live Update and a virus scan.) |
