With non-printing characters showing (CTRL+SHFT+8) is there any character
between "Mit" and "chem". It could be a hyphen. If there is nothing, has this line picked up an unusual alignment or character spacing? At the end of the paragraph, is there a manual line break instead of a paragraph break? If "none of the above", have you tried selecting the word, CTRL+Spacebar or CTRL+Q to clear any unwanted formatting? Hope this helps. DeanH "hrbsh97" wrote: Help!! .. this is such a strange thing .. I am typing a iine .. there is a name .... with dot leaders across the line .. then a title .. for some reason on this one particular last name it is as if WORD is trying to force space between 2 letters that are in the name .. the last name is Mitchem .. it looks like Mit chem .. is there anything I can do? .. and what would cause that to happen? .. Many thanks! |
