I have a PowerPoint slide with 10 pages in it. I am telling Word to Insert
Object from File and selecting my PowerPoint file, however, only the first
page comes in. Is there not a way to insert all 10 pages into word?

In PowerPoint 2003, there is the option under File, Send to, Microsoft Word.
Here you will get some options, select the best for you, the you can extract
your slides from this export into your document.
