Default How do I turn off the highlighting of an email address?

Alternatively, to have Word create hyperlinks but keep the formatting the
same as the surrounding text, modify the Hyperlink and FollowedHyperlink
character styles to suit your needs.

Word 2003 and earlier: Tools AutoCorrect Options AutoFormat As You
Type
uncheck "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks".

Word 2007: Office button Word Options Proofing AutoCorrect Options
AutoFormat As You Type uncheck "Internet and network paths with

hyperlinks".
