Since we upgraded to Word 2007, the program changes the outline levels in my
documents regardless of how I have set the styles or attached the themes. This is very annoying in that I have to reformat the document every time I open it. I have unchecked the "Update style" box on all of my styles and in the Word Options section. Re-attaching a template or theme that was previously corrected has no effect. If I save the document, Word asks if I want to save the style changes (yes I do!). But the next time the document is opened, I have to perform the exact same reformat. Compatibility mode does not seem to have any effect either. This is a very frustrating "feature" in the new version of Word and is costing me time and our clients money. |
