Default How to extend selection to a particular word / And Using word coun

Is there a way to extend the select text feature to a particular word farther
along in a document, like the last word of a section?

Also, how do I get a word count just for the endnotes alone? Just The text
alone?

thanks.

Hi,

To extend you selection, press F8 and then press Ctrl+F (search) or Ctrl+G
(go to) to move the cursor to the desired location. To cancel the extending
effect of F8, press Esc.

To get a word count for your endnotes, select them and press Shift+Ctrl+G.

Hope this helps,

Thanks. I need to get the count for all the 400 endnotes in my file, taken
together. And the total number of words for the text, without the endnotes
counted. What you suggest gives me the total number in the whole manuscript,
or just for one note? J

It would be even simpler just to look at the Word Count box,
alternately checking the "include notes" etc. box and not, and
subtract.
