If you create your numbered list as a *list style*, you can assign shortcut
keys to the list style (in the Modify Style dialog box, click Format, and then click Shortcut key). However, note that it would be easier to associate each level of the list with a unique paragraph style and then assign keyboard shortcuts to the styles. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "MZ" wrote in message ...
