I'm trying to increase the font size in a word with each letter that I type.
So, for example, using my name, Craig, I would like to make the 'r' bigger than the 'c', the 'a' bigger than the 'r', and so on to the end of the word. BUT, I also would like to de-align the font so that the letters are centered in relation to one another, and not all resting on the same line. Thus, the bottom of the 'r' would be below the bottom of the 'c', not on the same line with it, which is what happens if you just change the font size. Can this be done in Word, or do I have to go to Adobe Illustrator or something like that? Thanks for any responses! |

If you use normal text, all is manual (the character size, as well as the vertical offsetting). An approach with text boxes (one for each character) might be an option (the alignment could be done, though that works for the box, not for the actual character), but I doubt it's worth the effort. I would suggest you use WordArt. The Fade Left shape will give the effect
you want. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA http://word.mvps.org "kodie" wrote in message ...
