Sometimes the end of a chapter (say) ends on the obverse, which is probably
(but not exclusively) an odd page number. The next chapter starts on the next even number, and, if you are printing duplex, the first page of the new chapter is printed on the back of the page - that is, it gets printed on the reverse of the page. Now of course you can have a blank page after the end of the chapter, and that will ensure that the next chaper is printed on the obverse, that is the next chapter starts on the obverse, rather than the reverse. But, you would not want the page numbering to change. I'm doing duplex printing: Is there a way to get the page that would normally print on the reverse, to print on the obverse, and a way not avoid alteration in the page numbering? So start of (say) chapter 2 had the same page number as originally. TIA. |

Page 42 is printing on the back of page 41, because I'm running duplex printing. Something here has to change, we don't want page 42 to print on the back of page 41, but on a the next clean sheet. I don't know what break to put in. |

You can't get page 42 to print on an odd page. What you can do is change
your Next Page section break to Odd Page. This will cause Word to insert a totally blank page 42 after 41, and your next chapter will start on page 43. -- Suzanne S.
