I am trying to create a form using a drop down list. When I put the names in
to the list and say "OK" the name showing is defaulting to whatever is first on the list. It does not give a drop down list. I also would like it to fill the field if you start typing a name from the list. Donna |

Hi, Donna. Your questions are answered he

You must protect the document for forms before your dropdown list field is
usable. -- Suzanne S. What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this
in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFl...nesInForms.htm. You will need to protect the document (template) for forms. Unfortunately, it won't let you start typing to select. So far as I know, you have to use the mouse.
