Headers and footers problem with inserted landscaped page
I'm putting together my thesis and I have inserted a landscape page with a
table on it and now Word seems to consider it as the first page in the document which means even though I've ticked the 'different first page' box to remove the header and footer from the first page it now appears and I can't get rid of it. Can anyone help? Also, the header and footer on the landscaped page shows at the top of the page. I need it to be in the position it would be if it was a normal portrait page for when the document is bound together to match the position of the header and footers on the other pages. Is this possible? As you may be able to tell, I'm very lost! |

Headers and footers problem with inserted landscaped page
Okay, there are two different issues he
1. You are misunderstanding "Different first page." When you enable this option, there is a separate First Page Header in each section. When you create a landscape page, it is in its own section, the first page of which inherits the First Page Header from the previous section unless you unlink them. An easier solution here, however, is to disable "Different first page" for this section. For more information on how to handle headers (and footers) see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm 2. For instructions on putting a portrait header on a landscape page, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...apeSection.htm -- Suzanne S.
