page numbers
Why is it that in previous Word versions (I am now using Windows Office 2007)
it was so simple to include numbers in the upper right hand corner and not have the number for page 1 show in the upper right hand corner. Now despite many efforts I cannot do what was simple in previous Word versions. Are Microsoft designers sadists? Do they not know how to follow through in keeping minor procedures simple? Are they afraid of simple or are they too simple to be able to recognize a good thing. There are specialists who are professional in how to mess up what is already apparent and understandable and workable so that it is not understandable, workable or apparent and those people reside at Microsoft in the Microsoft design section. Now if I type 2 on the second page the number 2 shows up on every page! How, when and why would anyone ever want every page numbered as 2? I know who. Those brains at Microsoft who know how to dream about the money they earn but are not able to think about what is real in the conscious world. Frank C. |
