emailing from a word 2007 document
Hello world,
I would like to be able to type a page in word and have the option to email it, but my email buttons are shaded grey and don't work. I bought the home version and just added the key code as I had a trial version pre-installed in the new computer. I thought that the email buttons would then turn coloured so I could use them. Any ideas? |

Hello Diane
Diane is finding word 2007 frustrating wrote: I would like to be able to type a page in word and have the option to email it, but my email buttons are shaded grey and don't work. I'm no specialist of email directly from Word (frankly, I never felt the need to do so :-)), but what Word seems to be doing there is basically tell the OS to startup its default email application. That's the same that happens when, say, you are on a webpage and click on a mailto-type hyperlink there. So the first question is: is there a default (MAPI) email client registered with your system? 2cents Robert -- /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign | MSFT | \ / | MVP | Scientific Reports X Against HTML | for | with Word? / \ in e-mail & news | Word | http://www.masteringword.eu/ |
