Default removable text in Word 2007

Is there a way to format text (details) inside a document so that it can be
stripped out for an executive overview?
The report is updated weekly and takes some time to edit by hand.
Thanks

Apply a style to each piece of the material that should appear/disappear. To
begin with, the formatting of that style should be just "Default paragraph
format". Depending on whether you want the full version or the reduced version,
check or uncheck the Font Hidden property of that style's definition.
