How do I view tracked changes in reviewing pane in Office 2003
In Word 2000 , When I keep track changes on, the tracked changes can be seen
in both the main document as well as the comments pane. (ie when we do ViewComments in Word 2000) However In Word 2003 , the tracked changes can be seen only in the main document. Word does not track changes, if I edit a comment. I use a workflow wherein The manuscript of a document is sent for editing and the editor makes his edits as comments and sends it back to me . The subsequent changes are made only in the comments field and in each proof round I need to see the tracked changes in the Comments/reviewing pane. This was possible in word 2000. But not anymore. Does anyone know whether there is any methods to doo this. In brief, I need to see tracked changes in the comments/reviewing pane. |

The Reviewing Pane in Word 2003 should be showing all markup. Have you
scrolled the pane down to see what is in it? You can also increase its height to show more. -- Suzanne S. I have tried pulling down the reviewing pane. But I still cannot view the
tracked changes as deleted and crossed out text, etc . Are you sure that if you edit a comment (not main doument) with tracked changes on, then will u still have the new text appearing as per the options set in OptionsTrackChanges? "Suzanne S. Okay, I misunderstood your question. No, Word does not track changes made to
comments; comments are part of the markup, not subject to it. -- Suzanne S.
