Saving a 2007 (*.docx) file as a Word XML document.
Is there a difference when saving a .docx file as a Word XML document (*.xml)
and saving a .docx file as a Word 2003 XML document (*.xml)? The Save As dialog box in Word 2007 offers both formats under Save as type. For example, if I save MyDocument.docx as a Word XML document, it saves it as MyDocument.xml. When I save it as a Word 2003 XML document it tells me the document already exists and asks if I want to replace it. This leads me to believe there is no difference. Can anyone enlighten me please? |
