Default Tables in Word 2007 showing blue lines cannot see print. Help

I am attempting to insert table in word. However when entering data into
table the current line is shown in blue and the preceding line. I cannot see
what I am typing until a couple of lines later. Also if I click on cell to
change data the line once again goes blue and i cannot see data. HELP please
most aggravating as this didn't happen in Office 97.
