Mailmerge from Excel
My document is in word and my data source is in Excel. When I merge the two
files, my data shows as a decimal, but I need it to be a %, and $ sign is drop from amounts - how can I get it to look just like it is in Excel? |

Mailmerge from Excel
Doug,
I'm having a little different problem with percentages. I'm merging from an Excel spreadsheet and the percentage is calculated by a formula in Excel. No matter what I do, it won't merge into Word correctly. Example: it changes 136.67 to 1.366666. I need for it to keep the exact number and format of Excel. I tried some of the switches, but still didn't get the outcome I want. Any ideas? Thanks, Sherry "Doug Robbins - Word MVP" wrote: See "Formatting Word fields with switches" on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's website at http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm -- Hope this helps. What switches have you tried? You may need to use the Round() function in
Excel. -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Doug Robbins - Word MVP "Sherry Phillips" wrote in message ...
