Default A Word error appears when I start my computer.

When I start or restart my computer, the following Word error appears:

"Word cannot open the existing (normal)"

What could be causing this, and how do I fix it?

Thanks,
Amanda

It appears that normal.dot is corrupt. Rename it to oldnormal.dot and if you
have a backup from the last time you saved normal.dot rename that to
normal.dot, otherwise let Word build a new one next time it starts.
