How do I add line numbering to tables
Is there a way either via basic Word or possibly an add-in to add line
numbers to a table without creating an extra column. The idea is to have Word create line number for the entire document regardless of whether the particular line is plain text, or text within a table. |

How do I add line numbering to tables
One way is to type numbers inside a text box or frame (without
borders), and put it in the margin. You may have to specify fixed line spacing for the text to make your custom line numbers work properly. To find out if there is a macro solution, ask in a programming newsgroup. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Tiddy McNipples" wrote in message ...
