Word 2000 Comment problem in English/Arabic document
Hello,
Using Word 2000, I am editing an academic document written in English by someone in Saudi Arabia. The editing track-changes work fine, but when I go to insert a Comment, I am having big problems. The document itself is described as English(U.S.) at the bottom of the Document pane. However when I open the Comment pane to add a comment, the language is described as Arabic (Saudi Arabia), and the Comment Mark follows a big blank space at the beginning of the line. Then, when I actually go to add the comment, the language switches to English (U.K.) but the format is completely garbled, like this: (big space) ?"it was recommended that"[LNW1]What do you mean by ....where I tried to add the comment "What do you mean by 'it was recommended that'?" Even though the Comment language says English, it is acting as if reading right-to-left. Any advice for how to solve this problem? Thanks, from s97 |
