How do you set numbered list so it automatically leaves a line space after
each time you hit the enter key. It seems you manually get Word to learn this by entering, then moving cursor back 2 spaces then entering again and deleting the para. which is taking up the line you want blank. But this sometimes does not work and sometimes the behavior reverts back to single line spacing later in the list. I don't see where you can work this on the Customize tab. How can this be set so it is automatic and works each time you hit Enter in a particular numbered list? |

On Word 2007, you will go to the Paragraph group, hit the bottom right arrow,
go to Spacing category, and change the space by hitting the up or down arrow. Use the Paragraph dialog box to specify some Spacing After (or Spacing
Before) for the numbered paragraphs. In Word 97-2003, click Format | Paragraph; in Word 2007, use the Paragraph group on the Page Layout tab. Note that if you use numbered lists frequently, you should set them up with paragraph styles. For single-level numbering, you can use the List Number style. If you ned outline numbering, see http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...Numbering.html. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Tenacity" wrote in message ...
