how does word give spelling suggestions? Options
HI all;
this may seem to be a dumb question but i am in a situation where it is important to get this confirmed. does Word use any built in database to look for possible matches? is the database stored in a file which is copied to the user's disk during installation? what may happen if i find this file and delete it? thanks |

Hi n

Yes. Can usually be found somehere along the lines of: \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof\ what may happen if i find this file and delete it? I've never felt the urge to mess with any files in there, but you can safely try this out (by, say, renaming a folder or a file there and starting Word afterwards).
