Default Footnote in a form

Footnotes are just another feature that is unavailable in protected
documents (even in unprotected sections). In order to insert a footnote, you
will have to unprotect the form.

That,s what I thought.
Maybe a footnote macro which will unlock the form and then relock the form.

A macro would probably work. If you need assistance, you should ask in a
programming newsgroup such as microsoft.public.word.vba.general.
