Default Check grammar but not spelling

I'd like to do a grammar check without a spell check.

I can see how to turn on "check grammar as you type" and "check spelling as
you type", but that's not what I'm looking for. What I want is to perform a
complete grammar check, without the spell check.

I'm using Word 2003.

Thanks.

The two functions are irrevocably connected, however if the spelling in the
document is corrected, only the grammar will be checked when you click F7.
The grammar checker should only ever be used as a guide to possible errors.
Computerised grammar checking is no substitute for an understanding of the
principles of grammar.

Yes, that's what I'm using it for - to find errors, such as two spaces
between words instead of one, typos in punctuation, etc. I find it useful for
this limited purpose.

This is a 100-page document with a lot of authors' names in the references,
many of which Word identifies as spelling errors. I'd prefer not to add these
dozens of names to my own dictionary. But I still want to have the benefit of
the grammar check.

You can apply a "no proofing" character style to the names to keep them from
being spell-checked; see
