I have a new thrid party softward package that comes editable lesson plans in
Word 6.0/95. I use Office 2000 Professional (with all updates) on Windows 98, Me and XP Pro computers and each time I attempt to open and then edit the lesson plan (especially add a bullet) Word shuts down and the document is not recoverable. I used the Microsoft technical support who said that Word 2000 doesn't import/convert Word 6.0/95 very well and took me through a process to convert the missing font (Times) and to copy and pasted the converterd document into a new document. The problem is that I lose most formatting and the lesson plan is nearly worthless to use. Any thoughts on how to use these 6.0/95 documents or how to convert them so that 2000 won't close everytime I want to edit them? Thanks. |
