How do I stop Word from changing the format of all instances of an element
when I change only one? Currently, If I select a word in a paragraph and set it to bold and italic, Word proceeds to change ALL other paragraphs with the current style to bold and italic. Hitting a single UNDO then returns the other paragraphs to the normal style while leaving my expected change. While this isn't a big deal for a short document, I am working on larger documents containing 75 or more pages in each chapter and the changing and clearing of the format take a long time (even on my 3GHz system).
